The Hoverboard Controller
For the controller we plan to take a keyboard or a dance mat, stick it into a big box. Then we take a piece of wood, shape it like a hoverboard, and fix it to the top of the box with the help of a big ball bearing. Next we will have several wooden sticks (we like to call 'em "arms") that arise from the hoverboard go into the box and hit certain keys in the keyboard hidden inside. Lever systems will be used for this part, courtesy, one of my friends. And we will have springs, sponges etc. to soften the hits on the keys!
We don't want it breaking, do we?!

An addition to the below concept
Now in order to make this even more interesting, we plan to make a completely new controller for this. Instead of a keyboard or a joystick, the player will use an actual hoverboard shaped controller to play the game
Concept 2: Title not decided yet
The Idea:
This one is an Arcade style Hoverboard racer, where the player will have to race against five competitiors(AI or Human) in a fast-paced, action packed race on HoverBoards. The race takes place in a city's plumbing system a.k.a the Sewers!
Standard Rules:- The player wins if he finishes first. One the track he will encounter several obstacles such as sludge leaks, crossover pipes and big, deep holes! He has to evade these obstacles and finish first.
But wait, There is one tiny little twist:(It gets a bit complicated here, so read carefully) :
Each Hoverboard is powered by a Nitrous Oxide Deployement Engine system, and uses this Nitrous to accelerate. Each board is also fittted with a Vibrato device that gathers sound waves when in motion and unleashes them when required!
If these sound waves hit an engine it shorts the engine resulting in the system dumping all the nitrous into the engine at one go. This will cause the hoverboard to go 5 times faster, and the player controlling this hoverboard will have to keep his board steady and avoid being hit by the obstacles at the same time.
So, if any player triggers this Vibrato system, it will cause all the people who are within a particular range of his board to blast forward at an extreme speed. Hence if a player triggers this just before an obstacle of some sort, then everyone sorrounding him will go slamming into the obstacles, if they dont react in time.
Of course it takes a three second continous blast of sound waves for the engine to get short, so if players can get out of the range of the blasts by that time, then they're safe.

Concept 1: The Chalkboard Adventures!!
The Idea:
The game is about an average 12 year old kid, sitting for one of his exams. Just like all of us average people, he takes one look at the question paper and his mind goes blank. H estarts day-dreaming and in these dreams he takes the rle of a tiny chalk drawn stick-figure stuck in the vast, seemingly hostile world of the chalkboard and sub-conciously solves each and every one of his questions, through some funny witty adventures.
The Look:
Let's say the first question is "6x3=?", the player takes the role of the stick figure and has with him the letter "t" that shoots "i"'s. He has a number of Numbers(0,1....9) rushing towards him. He has a pit in front of him, and he has to shoot down with his trusty "t" gun, all numbers except the two he needs to multiply. He has to pull these two numbers(in this case 6 and 3) into the pit and, once he has done that has to hit a switch that will squeeze 6 "into" 3 giving the right answer.
This idea sounded good initially, but we realized that it was gonna be very hard thinking up funny missions for each and every subject. Also it had very little replayability(hope i spelt it right!).
